Petite Woman Dressed in Long Princess Seamed Knit Dress

Featuring:Fitted at the shoulders and bust, semi-fitted at the waist and lightly flared at the hips dress designed for knit fabrics. Back and Front princess seams go from the shoulder to the bottom hem. The dress can have optional pockets at the side panels. Offered with long, 3/4 or short sleeves but also can be made as a sleeveless dress with the armholes finished with binding. Regular or scoop neckline is finished with afacing. Elegant and easy to make dress that works well in different fabrics suitable for different times of the year.

The pdf pattern comes in REGULAR, PETITE and TALL with sizes from XXS to 4XL

DIFFICULTY

The pdf pattern is a beginner (3/10)  level and moderately easy to sew.
Takes 2-3 hours to finish (time may vary depending on your skills, equipment and supplies).

FABRIC

Light to medium weight knit fabric with at least 50 % horizontal and 20% vertical stretch

50/60" / 140-160 cm

DRESS (US0-US20) 1.6 m / 1 3/4 yards
DRESS (US22-US30) 1.8-2.2 m / 2 - 2 1/2 yards

SHORT SLEEVES 0.4 m / 1/2 yards
3/4 SLEEVES 0.7 m / 3/4 yards
LONG SLEEVES 0.9 m / 1 yard

If you are color blocking the side panels (to the pocket only), you will need additional length of your accent fabric equal to 70 cm / 3/4 yards of fabric.

NOTIONS

1. (optional, but very recommended) 60 cm / 3/4 yards of clear elastic or knit fusible interfacing for stabilizing the neckline.

2. 2 strips 7-10 in long, 10-15 mm / 3/8-5/8 in width knit fusible interfacing for stabilizing pocket openings

3. Polyester / Cotton threads

4. (optional) Matching overlocker threads, preferably wooly nylon stretch overlocking thread

   
   

CUSTOM SIZE

This pdf pattern is not offered in custom sizes.

Our patterns come in extensive sizing range and each pattern offers Petite/Short, Regular and Tall options. All options included into the patterns.

We do not offer separate cup sizing for our knit patterns.

Cup sizes for different sizes you can find in the table below. The sizing letters refer to 'sewing cup size' which is measured as a difference between upper and full bust in inches. This cup sizing is different from bra cup sizing. As a general rule our patterns fit well majority of our customers without additional modifications.
